My Story…
I have experienced episodic migraine since early childhood. I met the definition of “chronic” before I was 20. And in 2016, I began a constant head: every moment of every day. In spite of multiple surgeries, off label drug use, injections, nerve blocks, hospitalizations, several holistic approaches, pain management, outpatient programs and much more, I still suffer daily. All of these approaches have improved my quality life but have not given me back my life.
Last summer was my first time participating in Miles For Migraine. I learned so much and made incredible connections. I met a headache specialist from Cleveland Clinic at this event last summer. She gave me hope again after giving up on improvement. I traveled to Cleveland 3x and stayed a week in December learning how to live with Migraine rather than stopping the pain. Although this was extremely helpful, I still hope for a cure. That is why I am raising money and advocating for migraine patients.
I appreciate you taking time to learn just a bit about me. Any donation or sharing of this link is appreciated. Everything helps improve the healthcare of migraine patients.
